OurCMS
OurCMS is a secure content and social media management application developed and operated by MultiMediaMarkers. Authorised administrators use it to manage content and connected social accounts for their own brands from one protected workspace. OurCMS is not a public social network and does not sell Google or YouTube user data.
YouTube integration
An administrator can explicitly connect a Google Account or a YouTube Brand Account to OurCMS. OurCMS then uses the YouTube Data API to:
- identify the selected channel and display its title, handle and basic statistics;
- upload a video chosen or scheduled by an authorised administrator;
- manage or delete a video when an authorised administrator requests that action in OurCMS;
- keep the connection available by securely refreshing OAuth access.
OurCMS requests read-only YouTube access to identify the channel and retrieve its statistics. It requests upload access to publish videos selected by an administrator. It requests the YouTube force-ssl permission because Google does not provide a narrower permission for deleting a YouTube video through the API. OurCMS does not use this permission to manage ratings, comments or captions.
Data handling and control
For a connected YouTube channel, OurCMS stores the channel identifier, title, handle, connection status, granted permissions and the OAuth tokens needed to perform authorised actions. Subscriber-count snapshots may be retained for reporting. This information is stored in the protected OurCMS production environment and is available only to authorised administrators and the services required to operate OurCMS.
The data is used only to provide the requested channel-management and reporting functions. It is not sold, used for advertising or shared with unrelated third parties. The connection data is retained while the channel remains connected or while it is needed for the requested service. An administrator can disconnect a channel in OurCMS to remove its stored connection credentials, and can also revoke access through the Google Account security settings.
